High School Graduates in Batumi Received a Special Blessing at the Armenian Church Print

On June 4, 2017, at the initiative of the clergy the Surb Prkich (Saint Savior) Church in Batumi (Armenian Diocese in Georgia), Consulate General of Armenia in Batumi, and the administration of the Alexander Mantashev Center, Batumi Public Schools graduates of 2016/2017 academic year were invited to the local Armenian Church.

Congratulating the students on their high school graduation and stepping into a new stage of life, Rev. Father Ararat Gumbalyan transmitted the fatherly blessings and good wishes of the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan, to the people present. Later, Rev. Father Ararat Gumbalyan blessed the high school graduates of various nationalities. The graduates received the blessed crosses from Jerusalem as a gift.
Later, the graduates visited the Alexander Mantashev Educational Cultural and Youth Center, where Consul General of the Republic of Armenia in Batumi Yeghishe Sargsyan and the Center’s Director Sona Hovhannisyan congratulated the graduates and expressed their kindest wishes, reminding that every ending is the beginning of something else. They exhorted the graduates to preserve national identity, to keep the honor of the nation, family and country higher everywhere, to continue their studies, to find their purpose in life, to step forward with confidence and hope towards a brighter future.
The graduates cut the celebratory cake on the occasion of their high school graduation, receiving a certificate of completion and leaving the nest.
