AClub of Historical and Old-fashioned Automobile of Armenian Automobile Federation dedicated 1a car racing to the 150th anniversary of Hovhannes Tumanyan. The race started on March 23, from the territory of Hovhannes Tumanyan House-Museum in Yerevan. After Chairman of Armenian Automobile Federation Gagik Aghajanov who was born in Tbilisi, and the head of Club of Historical and Old-fashioned Automobile Onik Zakaryan wished all to have a safe trip, 2the column of 40-50 years old ancient cars drove to Dsegh,Tumanyan's birthplace. Here they visited House-Museum of the Great Armenian poet from Lori and laid flowers on the tomb where Tumanyan’s heart rests, then the cars moved to Tbilisi.
On March 24, participants of car racing visited 3Tbilisi Pantheon of the Armenian Writers and Public Figures “Khojivank” and laid flowers at Hovhannes Tumanyan’s tomb as well as at the tombs of other great Armenians. Membership cards of persons who have applied for the membership in Armenian Automobile Federation were 4handed over them at the “Khojivank” Pantheon.
The participants of the car racing took part in Sunday Divine Liturgy celebrated at the St. Etchmiadzin church in Avlabari and lit candles in memory of Tumanyan.
Armenian Automobile Federation has planned a number of interesting and beautiful events that will be implemented by the end of year to contribute the celebrations of the 150th anniversary of Hovhannes Tumanyan and Komitas Vardapet (celibate priest).
