On December 28, 2018, the New Year celebration of the "Saint Moses of Khoren" ("Surb Movses Khorenatsi") preschool took place at the Calouste Gulbenkian Hall of the "Hayartun" Center of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia. The hall, decorated with the efforts and imagination of the preschool's teachers, had really festive winter appearance. The pupils of the preschool, who were waiting for Santa Claus to come and give them gifts and to announce the beginning of 2019, presented different animals of the forest. The hall was beautifully decorated, and there not only the parents and grandparents of the pupils were present, but also the clergymen and staff of the "Hayartun" Center and other Diocesan officials. The celebration began with the Lord's Prayer and the opening remarks and welcome speech by Eugenia Markosyan, the head of the "Hayartun" Center and the director of the Educational Department of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia. And the Armenian speech, joyful song and dance, recitation followed each other. At the end, Santa Claus came and expressed his satisfaction with the celebration and gave the children Christmas gifts. At the conclusion of the celebration, the Pastor of the Saint Etchmiadzin church Rev. Father Samvel Torosyan conveyed the blessings of the Diocesan Primate, highly appreciated the celebration with the participation of children, praised the teachers of preschool for their devoted work and encouraged the attendees to be with the Armenian Church, take part in all the ceremonies of the church and bring their children to the "Hayartun" Center. Rev. Father Samvel congratulated the attendees on the occasion of the upcoming New Year and Christmas holidays and invited everyone to take part in the Blessing of Pomegranates Service, Christmas and the Blessing of the Waters Service.
