On January 13, eight days after the Feast of the Holy Nativity and Theophany of Our Lord, the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church celebrates the Feast Day of the Naming of Our Lord Jesus Christ. On January 13, 2019, on the occasion of the feast day, Divine Liturgy was celebrated at the churches of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia. The Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan celebrated Divine Liturgy at the Surb Khach (Holy Cross) church in Akhalkalaki (Samtskhe – Javakheti and Tsalka's General Prelacy of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia). Chairman of Akhalkalaki Municipality Assembly (Sakrebulo) Nairi Iritsyan and Deputy Mayor of Akhalkalaki Armen Marangozyan attended the Divine Liturgy with the faithful. During the Divine Liturgy, His Grace properly preached about the mystery of the day and congratulated and offered his best wishes to the faithful on the occasion of the Feast of the Holy Nativity and Theophany of Our Lord and the Feast of Naming of Our Lord Jesus Christ. During the Divine Liturgy, the solemn ceremony of consecration of the Holy Martyr's icon for Saint Sarkis church in Diliska took place. His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan consecrated the icons. The Diocesan Primate consecrated 4 corners of the icon with Holy Chrism (Muron), after which blessed with the Protector Prayer benefactor Karapet Mosoyan and the faithful. After the consecration, the faithful worshiped the newly consecrated icon. After the Divine Liturgy a reception took place at the Headquarters of the Prelacy. January 13 was celebrated with festive Divine Liturgies in the churches of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia in Tbilisi, Batumi, Akhaltsikhe, Ninotsminda and Rustavi.
