The Catholicos Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II is with one week Patriarchal visit in Adjara. On the 19^th of June, at the restaurant "Tbilisi" in Hotel Intourist Palace, an event dedicated to the 80th birthday and the 35th anniversary of the enthronement of the Catholicos-Patriarch was organized with great solemnity. The Chairman of the Adjara Autonomous Republic Government Archil Khabadze, Presidium of the Supreme Council, city council and intellectuals,

various diplomatic delegations attended the event. Spiritual shepherd of Armenians in Adjara and of Surb Prkich Church in Batumi Priest Ararat Gumbalyan, General Consul of the Republic of Armenia to Batumi Aram Grigoryan were also among the guests. On behalf of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church and all Armenians Priest Ararat Gumbalyan congratulated Patriarch on the 80th birthday and the 35th anniversary of the enthronement.
