On November 23, a classical music concert-lecture was held at the “Hayartun” Center of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia. The event was initiated by the Union of Armenian Musicians of Georgia, under the auspices of the “Hayartun” Center of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia. Musicians of different nationalities, opera singers and classical music connoisseurs were gathered in Calouste Gulbenkian Hall. Vitali Kamalov, the magnificent piano player and Professor of V.Sarajishvili Tbilisi State Conservatory, accompanied during the creative evening.

The Chairman of the Armenian Musician's Union of Georgia Artem Kirakozov opened the event, he marked that the Head of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan had expressed regret over the absence from the event, because of being in Akhalkalaki on the consecration of the church, and had sent his blessings and best wishes to the audience.

During the concert the hosts of the event Veronika Manukyan-Iashvili and Artem Grigorents gave detailed and valuable comments on classical music stars, their pieces and opera librettos.

Great singers Leila Gotsiridze, Giorgi Gabilaia and Tengiz Jangavadze performed arias from operas by Verdi, Puccini, Pietro Mascagni, Schubert, Caldare, romances by Pyotr Tchaikovsky and Dmitry Arakishvili.

Young singer Hovhannes Shahnazaryan showed a wonderful performance. Taking into account his young age and student status, young man’s performance was in tune with the masterful performance of famous singers.

Vakhtang Kizikurashvili, Chairman of Charity Society for All Ages «Amagdari», specialist at the Ministry of Culture of Georgia Yuri Mechitov, President of the “Vernatun” Union of Armenian Writers of Georgia Zhora Snkhchyan expressed their satisfaction and gratitude to the organizers of the event and the performers. It was suggested to organize similar events on a regular basis.
