Great poet Vahan Terian was born in Gandza village of Javakheti region on February 9, 1885 into a large family of Priest Sukias Ter-Grigoryan. As usual many people in his native village came to celebrate this day. Terian’s poetry magic again reigned in Vahan Terian House Museum, spreading in this chimney corner the unique charm of lyric poetry.

Spiritual shepherd of Ninotsminda and nearby villages Priest Armash Poghosyan and spiritual shepherd of Akhalkalaki and nearby villages Priest Tatev Marukyan conducted the ceremony of Terian’s house blessing and urged the audience to always remember the poet and appreciate the true value of his literary merit.

After that Terian’s poetry aficionados attended the literary part of the holiday in Vahan Terian House Museum. The school students presented to the audience the best examples of Terian’s poetry. Breath of Terian’s poetry filled the air; children recited his plain and simple lines in Armenian.
