The priest Ghevond Topashyan’s first liturgy in St. Echmiadzin church at the Armenian Diocese in Georgia PDF Print E-mail

Ghevond Topashyan 

On November 9, 2014 headed by the Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church in Georgia, His Grace Vazgen Mirzakhanyan, the newly ordained priest Ghevond Topashyan conducted Divine Liturgy in Tbilisi St. Echmiadzin church of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia.

Tbilisi believers were happy to enjoy Rev. Fr.’s liturgy and listen to his sermon. The officiating priest Ghevond Topashyan expressed his appreciation to the Armenian believers in Georgia.
The Priest Ghevond Topashyan was born and grown up in Tbilisi. He attended the local Armenian school number 95. He studied in Gevorgyan spiritual seminary at the Mother See of Holy Echmiadzin. Later he served at Tbilisi St. Gevorg Cathedral and St. Echmiadzin church.  
In 2011 the priest Ghevond entered clergy classroom at Gevorgyan spiritual seminary, where he studied three years and graduated. On December 24, 2013 on the Feast day of St. Stephen the Proto-Deacon he was ordained to the diaconate by Archbishop Hovakim Manukyan.  
On September 21, 2014 he was ordained to the Priesthood with the blessing of His Holiness Karekin II, the Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of
All Armenians and by the Primate of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church in Australia and New Zealand, Bishop Haykazun Najaryan. The newly ordained Rev. Fr. was appointed to service at the Armenian Diocese in Georgia by the Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians.    
During the liturgy the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia introduced the priest Ghevond to the believers, and expressed his appreciation to the Mother See of Holy Echmiadzin, the Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, as well as the Gevorgyan spiritual seminary for the warm welcome and for the spiritual knowledge taught to St. Ghevond. Being familiar with St. Ghevond, his spiritual abilities and knowledge, the Primate hoped that the respectful Rev. Fr. would kindly serve for the ancient Armenian community in Georgia.  
The newly ordained priest Ghevond will serve at Akhaltskha city and the surrounding Armenian localities from the general vicariate of Samtskhe Javakheti and Tsalka as a Rev. Fr..
At the end of the liturgy believers in church and the clergy congratulated the newly ordained and respectful priest, wishing him good service.
