On May 14, 2015, the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church celebrated the Feast of the Ascension of Our Lord Jesus Christ and the relocation of the Patriarchal See from the city of Sis to Vagharshapat. On this occasion, the clergy of the Saint Etchmiadzin church conducted the Divine Liturgy in Tbilisi.

Rev. Fr. Ter Narek Ghushchyan read a sermon on the sacrament of the day and congratulated the congregation on the occasion of the Feast.

During the Divine Liturgy, the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan offered a Pontifical Prayer of Blessing. His Grace recalled the wanderings of the See of the Catholicosate of All Armenians and its return to its historical origins in Etchmiadzin in 1441.

The Divine Liturgies were offered in the churches of the Armenian Diocese in Batumi, Samtskhe-Javakheti and Kvemo Kartli.
