On March 27, 2015 another meeting of the Georgian regional committee on the organization of the events regarding the 100th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide was held at Akhalkalaki City Hall building in Samtskhe-Javakheti. Here in Akhalkalaki committee members from Tbilisi joined their colleagues from Ninotsminda and Tsalka, the deputies from the Parliament of Georgia, Samvel Petrosyan and Henzel Mkoyan, the heads of local assemblies and administration.

On March 21, 2015 at the initiative of the Union of Armenian Musicians of Georgia and with the support of the “Hayartun” Center of the Armenian Diocese, Calouste Gulbenkian Hall hosted a classical musical concert dedicated to the 100th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide with the participation of the 3rd year bachelor student Stella Mkrtchyan and the 1st year MA student Marianna Kirakozova from violin class of Ernest Arakelov (String Music Department dean) from the V. Sarajishvili Tbilisi State Conservatory.

On March 21, 2015 the feast of the first Catholicos St. Gregory the Illuminator was celebrated in memory of his torments in Khor Virap. The Divine Liturgy therefore was delivered by the Primate of the Armenian Diocese, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan in Tbilisi St. Etchmiadzin Church. At the feat the curtain of the church was opened, and the parish had a chance to take Holy Communion.

On March 19, 2015 the hall named after Calouste Gulbenkian in the “Hayartun” Center of the Armenian Diocese welcomed students, teachers and management from Tbilisi № 104 Public School. The compilation of poems in memory of the Armenian Genocide victims by Hovhannes Shiraz was dedicated to the 100th birthday anniversary of the great Armenian poet. A literary and musical montage was performed by the teacher of Armenian language and Literature, Karine Hovhannisyan, with the participation of the 10thgrade students. The event was held first in the school auditorium and was so successful that the management of the “Hayartun” Center suggested presenting it to a larger audience of the Armenian community in Georgia.

On March 14, 2015 the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan met in Tbilisi at Saint Etchmiadzin Church with the directors of public schools, where children are taught Armenian. The directors and heads of studies of the schools in Mirzoevka, Chanakhchi and Shahumian schools № 1 and 3, Bolnis-Khache and Kianeti in Bolnisi region, Samshvilde in Tetritskaro region and Tbilisi № 103 and 104 public schools attended the meeting. The director of the Department of Education of the diocese, Eugenia Markosyan, also attended the meeting.
