The Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia Attends the Georgia’s State Agency for Religious Issues 2015 Report Presentation |
January 16, 2016, the conference hall of Tbilisi Cortyard Mariott Hotel hosted the presentation of Georgia’s State Agency for Religious Issues 2015 Report. The Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan and Rev. Father Narek Ghushyan participated in the event. In attendance were the representatives of different religious communities, international organizations and diplomatic corps. Giorgi Vashakmadze, the head of the State Agency for Religious Issues presented the report on the work undertaken by the Agency. According to the report, legal statuses of religious minorities have improved when compared to previous years. The Georgian state has increased the amount of money allocated to some religious organizations to compensate the damage caused by the Soviet authorities. |
