Divine Liturgy on the occasion of Yerkrapah’s (Defenders of the Land) Day Was Celebrated in the Armenian Diocese in Georgia |
On May 8, 2016, the Divine Liturgy on the occasion of Yerkrapah’s (Defenders of the Land) Day was celebrated in the Cathedral of St. George in Tbilisi; the celebrant was Rev. Father Samvel Torosyan, the Pastor of the church. Following the Holy Mass, the celebrant offered a homily about the message of day, spoke about the importance of the May triple-holiday, as the day of victory, glorious day of people’s struggle for the sake of the freedom and faith. And, although the war might still rage, and the Armenian soldiers are awake guarding the country's borders, nevertheless they demonstrate that they are capable of uncoupled feats, sacrificing themselves for the restoration of peace in Armenia. The celebrant priest wished that God would keep the Armenian army soldiers and commanders safe, support them in their fair fight, and thwart every cunning plan of the enemy. Rev. Father ended sermon with a call for worldwide peace and the victory of constructive work. |
