On June 16, 2018, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated by the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan with the participation of the clergy and deacons at the Church of the Holy Archangels in the village of Jigrashen (Samtskhe – Javakheti and Tsalka's General Prelacy of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia) in Ninotsminda region. The day was festive and the Divine Liturgy was dedicated to the Feast of the Discovery of the Relics of the Saint Gregory the Illuminator. Despite the active period of agricultural works, local residents, including many young people, teenagers and children attended the Divine Liturgy to receive communion and blessings of the Diocesan Primate. During the Divine Liturgy, the celebrant properly preached about the mystery of the day and congratulated the faithful on the occasion of the great national feast. The Diocesan Primate offered his blessings and appreciation to the Rev. Father Armash Poghosyan, Pastor of the region for his devoted service. His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan also offered his blessings to the people of the village of Jigrashen, local authority for permanent support to the church. Rev. Father Tatev Marukyan, Pastor of the Surb Khach (Holy Cross) church in Akhalkalaki and nearby villages and Zhora Snkhchyan, Director of the “Rafael Javakh” Educational and Culture Center were present at the Divine Liturgy. At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, a reception was organized by the villagers.
