On January 18, the Calouste Gulbenkian Hall of the “Hayartun” Center at the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia hosted the presentation of the next issue of Almanac “Kamurj” of "Kamurj" Public, Literary and Cultural Organization. It was initiated by the editor-in-chief Anahit Bostanjyan, under the auspices of the “Hayartun” Center at the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Armenia to Georgia Hovhannes Manoukian, the Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan, Georgian MP Ruslan Pogosyan, President of the WritersUnion of Georgia Makvala Gonashvili, writer Revaz Mishveladze, editor of “Tsiskari” magazine Baghatur Arabuli, painter Revaz Adamyan, poet and translator Givi Shakhnazari, President of the Vernatun Union of Armenian Writers of Georgia Gevorg Snkhchyan, the editor of “Vrastan” (“Georgia”) Van Bayburtyan, Armenian and Georgian writers and the readership attended the presentation.

Anahit Bostanjyan expressed her gratitude to the RA Ministry of Diaspora and Tbilisi Armenian businessman Rafik Agajanyan, who supported the publication of the 2013 Almanac “Kamurj”. She presented the history of the literary and cultural Almanac “Kamurj” from its foundation to the present day.

Welcoming the publication of the next issue of the Almanac, President of the WritersUnion of Georgia Makvala Gonashvili presented Niko Nikoladze literary prize to the poetess, editor-in-chief, translator and writer, Anahit Bostanjyan, for her contribution to strengthening the Armenian-Georgian literary relations.

Revaz Adamia, Givi Shakhnazari, Gevorg Snkhchyan, Baghatur Arabuli, Van Bayburtyan and others welcomed the presentation and congratulated Anahit Bostanjyan on receiving such a high award.

Poetess Anahit Bostanjyan with appreciation presented Benik Seyranyan’s book “Voices of Old Tiflis”, published under her patronage in connection with Benik Seyranyan’s 100th birth anniversary.

Students of Public School #104, Liza Torosyan and Lika Markaryan, read extracts from the authors’ works published in the Almanac, while duduk player Ivane Mkrtchyan, singers Anna Poghosova and Genrikh Petrosyan gave a special luster to the presentation.

At the end of the presentation the Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan delivered a speech. He blessed the audience and congratulated Anahit Bostanjyan; the Head of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia stressed the power of literature and books in psychological and moral formation of the personality, and in raising a new generation, he urged to inspire love of reading in young people again through valuable, interesting and teaching books. Upon completion of the event the audience received the issues of Almanac “Kamurj”.
