The organization “Towards Hayq” presented its scope of activities |
On September 28 of the current year in Galoust Gyulbenkyan hall of the educational, cultural and youth center “Hayartun” at Armenian Diocese in Georgia hosted the presentation of the social organization “Towards Hayq”. The representatives of the foundation Marianna Vardanyan and Beno Mishoyan presented the projects, mission and the successes acquired by this organization which is registered in Armenia as a non profitable one, and was founded by US benefactor Edil Hovnanyan. The event started with the presentation of two videos about the activities of the organization. Later Marianna Vardanyan talked about the foundation in details. She highlighted the purposes of strengthening the relations between the Mother Land and the Diaspora youth, of participating in everyday life of Armenia, of investing in Mother Land with the help of voluntary jobs, of establishing long lasting personal relations and of contributing to repatriation. Referring to the activities of thousands of volunteers in Armenia from 32 countries of the world during the 10 years of its existence, they highlighted the importance of at least one Armenian volunteer. The Speaker valued the repatriation of 65 Armenians during those years. Referring to the necessity of such presentations, it was stated that because of lack of information there was only one volunteer from Georgia during these years, and it was from Javakhk. The participants referred to the opportunities provided by the organization to ensure living conditions, to live in families, to learn the mother tongue, to explore the sites of the Mother Land, to get acquainted with the national customs and traditions, to find a job, and finally to establish in the Mother Land. The organization called 20-32 years old young Armenians living in Tbilisi to get involved in their activities.
