Meeting of the religious council members at seat of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia - St. Ejmiadzin church |
On October 16 of the current year, the members of the council of leaders of Christian churches had a meeting at the seat of the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, at St. Ejmiadzin church. The leader of Apostolic Department of Transcaucasia Latin Catholics, His Grace Archbishop St. Giuseppe Pasotto, the Bishop of Evangelical-Baptist church in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Merab Gaprindashvili, Primate of Evangelical-Lutheran church in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Hans-Ioiahim Kiderlen, and Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Holy Church in Georgia, His Grace Bishop St. Vazgen Mirzakhanyan were attending the meeting. During the meeting the parties discussed the problems of religious communities, referred to the resolutions accepted for Georgia by UN and the European Council, as well as to the works with the State Agency of Religious Affairs of Georgia. During the meeting the Armenian Diocese in Georgia offered the sister churches to organize evenings of spiritual songs, devoted to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. The members of the Religious Council readily accepted the offer. The leaders of Religious communities decided to continue the mutual collaboration on problems of mutual interest. Levon Isakhanyan, Milena Oganezova, as well as Nina Ayvazova and Albina Zotova, who were accompanying the members of the religious council, were attending the meeting. |
