New Year Presents for Children with Disabilities |
On December 23, 2015, the Youth Department of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia made a pre-holiday visit to the children with disabilities. Delegation of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia that included the Youth Department Director, Valery Badalyan; the Coordinator of the Youth Activities of the Department, Nina Seropova; the Director of the Administrative Department of the Diocese, Karen Yeritsyan; the photograph and cameraman Gevorg Poghosov; and responsible for the background music Sergey Arutyunov, visited Tbilisi №202 School for Blind and Visually Impaired Children. The school students happily welcomed the guests and performed cheerful songs. The Taron Dance Group of the Hayartun Center and the solo performer of the “Hayos Band” vocal-instrumental ensemble, Ani Hovhanisyan, gave a wonderful concert for the school students and their teachers, which were gathered together in the hall. After the performance more than 40 students of the boarding school received New Year gifts; it helped to brighten their mood even more. The School Principal, Khatuna Jalaghonia highly appreciated the initiative taken by the Youth Department, expressed her gratitude for a beautiful concert, the opportunity to listen to the Armenian songs, and especially the New Year gifts. Both sides emphasized that similar events promote social integration of the children with disabilities. |
