The Taron Dance Group Placed Second in Dance Competition |
On April 16-17, 2016, Tbilisi was hosting the International Dance Olympiad. Representatives of 12 countries arrived at Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, to participate in Sports Dances International Olympiad. Within the framework of the Olympiad, local and foreign dance groups and solo performers performed inspiring sports and folk dances at the new Sports Palace in Tbilisi. The aim of the Olympiad was promoting the development of culture and sport, physical culture and health care, as well as supporting women sports teams. On April 17, the Taron Dance Group of the Hayartun Center at the Armenian Diocese in Georgia (Choreographer Suren Abramyan) with renewed vigor performed “Tak Tanzara” national dance. Proud and inspiring dance performed by the young Armenians was highly appreciated by the jury. The Taron Dance Group won the second place. We congratulate the Taron Dance Group on the first victory in the competition and wish them success in all their endeavors. |
