Charge d'affaires of the Embassy of Ukraine in Georgia Visited the Armenian Church |
On June 15, 2016, Very Rev. Father Khoren Hovhannisyan, assistant to the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, received Mr. Georgii Nazarov , Charge d'affaires of the Embassy of Ukraine in Georgia, in his office at the Hayartun Center near the Saint Etchmiadzin Church in Tbilisi. Very Rev. Father welcomed the honored guest and transmitted the blessings and paternal love from His Holiness Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan, Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia. The Ukrainian diplomat expressed his deep respect and love to the Diocesan Primate. During the meeting, Father Khoren presented Charge d'affaires of the Embassy of Ukraine in Georgia the structure of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, activities of the communities and churches, as well as educational, cultural and social projects implemented by the Diocese. The official representative of Ukraine reflected on the activities of the Embassy of Ukraine in Georgia, diplomatic mission, referring to the current situation in Ukraine, as well as recalling big Armenian community and the centuries-old Armenian Church in Ukraine. During the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance and expressed readiness to strengthen ties between the Armenian Diocese in Georgia and the Embassy of Ukraine in Georgia and broaden their mutual cooperation in different fields. Father Khoren invited Mr. Georgii Nazarov , Charge d'affaires of the Embassy of Ukraine in Georgia, to visit when the opportunity occurs the Republic of Armenia and the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin in order to get closely acquainted with historical and cultural values and sanctuaries. |
