On February 5, 2019, the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan presided over the general reporting meeting at the Samtskhe-Javakheti and Tsalka's General Prelacy (Armenian Diocese in Georgia). The working and financial reports of the General Prelacy were presented at the meeting. The clergy and staff of the Diocesan Headquarters and four cultural and educational centers of the General Prelacy were in attendance.
The Diocesan Primate gave opening remarks, welcomed the attendees, conveyed blessing of His Holiness, Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, appreciated the service of clergy and work of Diocesan officials and invited them to represent 2018 activity report of the General Prelacy.
Secretary of the General Prelacy Armenuhi Petrosyan shortly presented at the screen large-scale activities of the churches, centers and Diocesan Headquarters, afterwards accountant of the General Prelacy Ruzanna Yeremyan presented at the same screen the detailed financial report Samtskhe – Javakheti's General Prelacy and the Diocese.
Afterwards, a discussion took place, during which both clergymen and officials made suggestions that had a positive response from the Diocesan Primate.
 It was decided to hold properly the jubilee events of Komitas Vardapet (celibate priest) and Hovhannes Tumanyan in local settlements as well. His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan instructed the leadership of the General Prelacy to be in direct contact with the Ministries of Education and Science, Diaspora and Culture of Armenia and receive the necessary materials and literature for appropriate activities of the General Prelacy.
His Grace urged educational and cultural centers to work actively with the Cultural Department of the General Prelacy. It was also decided to accept new pedagogues to work at “Vardges Surenyants” Center and allocate funds for furnishing the Center.  It was decided to allocate funds for the reconstruction of inner part of Surb Khach (Holy Cross) church in Akhalkalaki. They talked about the reconstruction of the roof of Surb Hovhannes (Saint John) church in Kartsakh and the building of the hall in “Rafael Javakh” Center. The Diocesan Primate negotiates with Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU) and other donor organizations to solve these problems.
His Grace Bishop Vazgen expressed his satisfaction with the Georgian government for its continued financial support. The Diocesan Primate also thanked the respective ministries of Armenia and Georgia, Pan-Armenian foundations, authorities of Samtskhe – Javakheti for support and assistance to the General Prelacy.
At the end of the meeting, His Grace offered his blessings to the attendees and then reception took place.
