On February 16, 2019, at the initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Georgia and with the support from the "Hayartun" Center of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, the exhibition of works of Armen Khojoyan, well-known painter, participant of all-union and international exhibitions, member of Artists Union of Armenia and his spouse Anna Adiyan (also a member of Artists Union of Armenia) was opened, as well as a meeting with prose writer Vardan Fereshetyan took place at Calouste Gulbenkian Hall of the "Hayartun" Center. The event was dedicated to the jubilee of two great Armenian figures – Hovhannes Tumanyan and Komitas Vardapet (celibate priest). Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Armenia to Georgia Ruben Sadoyan, embassy diplomats and members of the Armenian community in Georgia attended the exhibition. The event was honored with the presence of the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanayn. The walls of the hall were decorated with paintings, graphics, copper engravings and interesting collages which represented the rich world of art of the artist. Each attendee thought about the ideas expressed by the great master of the art and peculiarly understood and analyzed them in their mind. There was a unique harmonization of colorful paintings created by rich imagination with the translations from Grabar (Old Armenian language) and Russian by the author of several collections of his own writings Vardan Fereshetyan. The author read an essay devoted to Komitas Vardapet which became the expression of the world and mindset of the novelist and translator. The exhibition and meeting with novelist and translator was also a desire for the two artists to be represented in Tbilisi and bow head before the city where Armenian art and literature developed.
