Exhibition and sale of women's works at the “Hayartun” Cultural Center of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia |
On March 7 by the initiative of the Association of Armenian Women of Georgia “Shushanik” and with the support of the “Hayartun” Cultural Center of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Holy Church in Georgia in the Calouste Gulbenkian Hall of the “Hayartun” Cultural Center exhibition-sale of works of Armenian women in Georgia took place. The event was dedicated to the International Women’s Day. Handmade works of twenty women: carpets, tapestry samples, wedding gifts, jewelry, etc. - were exhibited. She presented the activities of the Association of Armenian Women of Georgia since 1996, and said that the main aims of the Association are the maintenance of the Armenian culture outside the homeland, increasing the role of women in family and society, celebration of the traditional customs and rituals and passing them to new generations. The speaker transferred to the audience warm congratulations and best wishes to all women in honor of March 8 on behalf of the Head of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Church in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan. |
