While in Tbilisi on a working visit, RA Minister of Culture Hasmik Poghosyan met with reppresantatives of the Armenian community in Georgia at the “Hayartun” Cultural Center of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Church in Georgia. Mr. Hovhannes Manoukian, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Georgia presented to the audience details of two-day working visit of RA Minister of Culture, told about meetings of RA Minister with Prime Minister of Georgia Bidzina Ivanishvili and Catholicos Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II . Minister Hasmik Poghosyan, telling about her two-day working meetings, emphasized the mutual desire to cooperate in all areas of culture. Let us remind that in January 2013, Ministers of Culture of two countries, the Republic of Armenia and Georgia, signed in Yerevan a two-year program of cooperation, and Mrs. Poghosyan emphasized that this referred to cooperation in all areas, up to the reconstruction of Armenian churches. The Minister also mentioned that in August in Haghpat under the auspices of UNESCO ashugh song festival dedicated to Sayat-Nova's 300th anniversary will be held, and Georgians with representatives of the other nationalities will take part in it. The Minister of Culture responded to the questions of the audience, and it helped to determine the direction of the subsequent works. Summing up the meeting, the leader of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Church in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan told about patriotic activities in the “Hayartun” Cultural Center, and told about the events conducted together with Armenian Embassy to Georgia. Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanian expressed His gratitude to Mrs. Hasmik Poghosyan who represented RA Ministry of Culture and for their support of the “Hayartun” Cultural Center. RA Minister of Culture, as a beautiful reminder of her first visit to the “Hayartun” Cultural Center, presented to the center the painting “Jugha Khachkar “ of Ararat Sargsyan. Sculptor Levon Osipov and artists Tengiz Mikoyants presented their paintings to the Minister of Culture. The “Hayartun” Cultural Center organized a small concert for the guests of honor. |
