Exhibition of the Armenian and Georgian Artists in Georgia Launched the Series of Celebrations, Dedicated to the 22nd Anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Armenia |
On September 17, 2013 exhibition and sale of works of Armenian and Georgian artist, organized in the Exhibition Hall of the Georgian Parliament National Library, launched the series of celebrations, dedicated to the 22nd Anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Armenia. The event was initiated by the Union of Armenian Artists of Georgia together with the Union of Artists of Georgia, the Union of Armenian Musicians of Georgia, the “Hayartun” Center of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia, in cooperation with RA Embassy to Georgia. 31 Armenian and Georgian artist of Georgia of different age presented almost forty works at the exhibition. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Armenia to Georgia Hovhannes Manoukian attended the solemn exhibition opening. Chairman of the Union of Armenian Painters of Georgia Meruzhan Shahumyan opened the exhibition and welcomed everyone. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Armenia to Georgia Hovhannes Manoukian stressed the importance to mark with such exhibition the 22nd anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Armenia, he appreciated the way that two friendly countries are following while building their independent states. He highly appreciated the participation of the Georgian artists together with the Armenian artists in the events, that unite two people, and this exhibition was one of them. Sacristan of Surb Etchmiadzin Church Priest Manuk Zeynalyan blessed everyone on behalf of the Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia, handed His congratulations and good wishes in connection with the exhibition organization. The priest underlined the beauty of freedom and independence that was skillfully expressed on the paintings presented at the exhibition. Advisor to the President of Georgia, the editor of "Vrastan" ("Georgia") Van Baiburtian, Chairman of Artists Union of Georgia Guram Tsertsvadze, and Chairman of the Armenian Musician's Union of Georgia Artem Kirakozov welcomed the organization of the exhibition, dedicated to the 22nd anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Armenia. “Lale” String Quartet, featuring the students of Tbilisi State Conservatory - Elena Shashiashvili, Marianna Kirakozova, Mariam Chikvaidze and Gvanca Matiashvili, performed at the exhibition.
