On November 20 members of International Women's Association Georgia (IWAG) visited the “Hayartun” Center at the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia. At the initiative and with the support of the association members - the wife of Armenian Ambassador to Georgia Armine Manukyan and the wife of Deputy Ambassador Lusine Afyan, in cooperation with the Union of Armenian Women in Georgia “Shushanik”, the Calouste Gulbenkian Hall of the “Hayartun” Center at the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia hosted the meeting. President of the Association Marta Ferrer Lubeck, board member Nana Dvali, Gvantsa Zhuruli, Bengü Akçardak Küçük and other members of the association attended the meeting. Armine Manukyan, spouses of diplomats of RA Embassy to Georgia, the headmistress of Gary Davtyan Puppet and Culture House Zhana Davtyan, employees of the “Hayartun” Center and guest also attended the reception. Miniature paintings by painters Meruzhan Shahumyan and Gohar Hakobyan, amazing handmade dolls created by artist Irena Oganjanova, jewelry created by Milena Kvachantiradze’s imagination captivated the audience.

Lusine Afyan opened the meeting and was glad to welcome the guests; she introduced the coordinator of the “Hayartun” Center Levon Chidilyan to the society. He greeted the audience and spoke about the path of the “Hayartun” Center at the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia since its foundation and until now and showed the images on the screen.

Dance ensembles “Ani” (Choreographer Angelina Nazaryan-Kochyan) and “Jeyran” (Choreographer Svetlana Yeritsyan), as well as solo performers Ani Ghushchyan and Genrikh Petrosyan made the event joyful and memorable.

The guest were impressed with what they saw and expressed unconcealed surprise in connection with documented great work and conducted activities of the “Hayartun” Center, which was opened only three years ago.

Foreign women admired the exhibition of miniature paintings by Meruzhan Shahumyan and Gohar Hakobyan, they were impressed with the Armenian hospitality, in which the member of “Shushanik” Union Amalya Harutyunyan took part. The meeting was accompanied by professional translation of Milena Hovhannisyan, images of Armenia and emotional music (artistic director Pavel Oganezov, responsible for the technical service department of the Diocese Valera Badalyan).

The guest highly appreciated warm reception and unique approach of the Armenian organizations.
