The pupils of St Movses Khorenatsi Kindergarten will go to Armenian school |
8 out of 16 graduates of St. Movses Khorenatsi Kindergarten, operating at the “Hayartun” Center of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia, will continue their education at Armenian school, specifically, at Armenian Public School № 104 in Tbilisi. On May 7, 2014 8 kindergarten students accompanied by their parents, with the assistance of St. Movses Khorenatsi Kindergarten Headmistress and responsible for the educational department of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia Eugenia Markosyan, coordinator of the “Hayartun” Center Levon Chidilyan, visited Tbilisi Public School № 104. In the Headmistress’ Office the kids took part in an interview, during which the future first –graders demonstrated their knowledge of the Armenian language, arithmetic, initial knowledge of Christian nurture. School Headmistress Irina Zhamkochyan expressed her satisfaction to the Kindergarten Headmistress regarding the large amount of work done to prepare children for school. Based on documents prepared in advance by the Kindergarten Headmistress and application made by their parents, 8 kindergarten students will enter Public School № 104 in 2014-2015 academic year. The parties agreed to continue their close cooperation, in order to give the Armenian children of Tbilisi Armenian education in their mother language.
