The “Hayartun” Center of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Church in Georgia together with other Armenian public organizations, operating in Georgia, prepares to mark the Armenian Genocide 98th Anniversary. By the initiative of the “Hayartun” Center on the eve of April 24, every Sunday, in Calouste Gulbenkian Hall of the “Hayartun” Cultural Center the documentary and feature films, dedicated to the Armenian Genocide, will be shown. On April 7 a documentary film "Armenian Genocide", directed by Andrew Goldberg, opened a series of films. Film screening will continue every Sunday at 14.00. Entrance is free. |

On 5 April, 2013 on the Eve of Annunciation Feast the “Hayartun” Cultural Center of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Church in Georgia hosted an event “Creative Young Women”. With the support of the “Hayartun” Cultural Center of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Church in Georgia and the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, the Association of Armenian Women in Georgia “Shushanik” initiated the event. Writers and artists, outstanding personalities and other representatives of the Armenian community attended the evening. The Head of the Association of Armenian Women of Georgia "Shushanik" Susanna Khachaturian opened the evening. She presented to the audience the purpose of the event - to introduce young Armenian women of Tbilisi, who are engaged in creative activities in the field of literature and art.

On 2 April, 2013 at the “Hayartun” Cultural Center of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Church in Georgia in Calouste Gulbenkian Hall a meeting of Armenian youth of Georgia with Scouting Camp correspondent, AYF Lebanon manager-secretary Gevorg Santuryan took place. Mr. Santuryan, who for 6 years has led the work related to holidays in scout camp, presented on a video to the audience the life in camp, excursions to places of interest in Armenia, visit to Gyumri, the House Museum of Hovhannes Shiraz, the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin and a welcome message from Catholicos of All Armenians, His Holiness Karekin II to the participants of scout camp in Armenian. Experienced leader of camping for the youth also spoke about the Armenian youth from Georgia, from Tbilisi in particular, who last year lived in the scout camp.

On 2 April, 2013 at the “Hayartun” Cultural Center of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Church in Georgia a Chess Club was opened. Levon Chidilyan, the Coordinator of the “Hayartun” Cultural Center, welcomed the creation of the new club, and introduced that World Class Grandmasters and winners of many competitions David Harutyunyan and George Baghaturov will conduct the classes. He recalled that the Multiple World Champion, our compatriot, Tigran Petrosian was from Tbilisi, and offered to name the newly formed Chess Club after the legendary champion Tigran Petrosian.
