The Peace Foundation (Giorgi Tumasyan, the Founder) in cooperation with the Hayartyn Cultural, Educational and Youth Center of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia (Director - Levon Chidilyan) organized a cycle of seminars entitled “ Workshop for Ethnic Minorities” which aimed to raise the level of civic consciousness and increase integrity of ethnic minorities, living in Georgia. The Calouste Gulbenkian Hall hosted meetings including theoretical and practical parts every Friday for two months.

New Year Celebration in “Saint Movses Khorenatsi” Preschool PDF Print E-mail

On December 25, 2015, the Calouste Gulbenkian Hall of the Hayartun Center hosted New Year and Christmas celebration of the “Saint Movses Khorenatsi” Primary School. The hall was decorated like a forest glade thanks to the imagination of primary school teachers and the support of parents. The kids gathered together in the hall to demonstrate the people present, how they had prepared to meet Santa Claus, who would come and proclaim the start of the New 2016 Year.

The Annual General Meeting of the Clergy in Javakheti PDF Print E-mail

On December 21, 2015, an annual general meeting was held in the Samtskhe-Javakheti and Tsalka's General Prelacy of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia; it was attended by all Prelacy clergy members. The meeting began with the Lord’s Prayer; then the floor was given to Rev. Father Hakob Sahakyan, who presented the agenda. The Very Rev. Fr. Babken Salbiyan, the Prelate of Samtskhe-Javakheti and Tsalka's General Prelacy of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, gave opening remarks. The clergy presented a report on the current state of affairs, spiritual, cultural and educational activities in their parishes during the meeting.

Event Marking Friendship between the Armenians and Georgians PDF Print E-mail

On December 22, 2015, Akalkalaki 2 Russian Public School (the School Principal, Karina Nahatakyan) hosted and event marking friendship between Armenians and Georgians. In attendance were the Very Rev. Fr. Babken Salbiyan, the Prelate of Samtskhe-Javakheti and Tsalka's General Prelacy of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, together with the Prelacy clergy members, Eduard Aghasaryan, Akhalkalaki’s Head of the Administration, Hamlet Movsisyan, the Chairman of Akhalkalaki’s Regional Assembly, Samvel Petrosyan, MP elected from Akhalkalaki, the representative of the Georgian Orthodox Church, Father Alexander and other guests. After the national anthems of Georgia and Armenia, the concert was conducted with Armenian and Georgian lively song and dance performances. The children recited Armenian and Georgian poetry, which was decorated with the works of immortal Sayat-Nova.
