“Young leaders’ training course” was organized in August of the current year by the Armenian community in Georgia. The training was organized with the initiative of the Department of the Youth Affairs in the Diocese of Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Holy Church in Georgia (Head of the department – Valeri Badalyan). The training was sponsored by the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs of RA and supported by Galoust Gyulbenkyan foundation. Young people from the capital, as well as different Armenian localities of Qvemo Qartli and Ajaria took part in the project. The project was carried out in a Catholic church complex, in Tserovani suburban town.

Ընթացիկ տարվա օգոստոսի 17-ին, Վիրահայոց թեմի բոլոր գործող եկեղեցիներում հանդիսավորությամբ նշվեց Սուրբ Աստվածածնի Վերափոխման տոնը: Այն Հայ Առաքելական Սուրբ Եկեղեցու հինգ տաղավար տոներից չորրորդն է և նվիրված է Տիրամոր ննջման հիշատակին:

Հուլիսի 29-ին, Վրաստանի նախագահի խորհրդական Սոփիո Շամանիդին հանդիպեց Հայ Առաքելական Ուղղափառ Սուրբ Եկեղեցու Վիրահայոց թեմի առաջնորդ Գերաշնորհ Տեր Վազգեն եպիսկոպոս Միրզախանյանի հետ:

On July 7-14, 2014, Mr. Levon Isakhanyan, on behalf of the Apostolic Administration of Roman Catholic of South Caucasus, the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Holy Church in Georgia, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Georgia, and the Evangelical Baptist Churches in Georgia, participated in a UN Human Rights Committee session in Geneva, Switzerland. At its 111th Session, the Committee considered a report on the implementation of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights in Georgia, which is available on the Committee’s website. Mr. Isakhanyan also presented information concerning religious minorities in Georgia and talked about documented cases of discrimination missing from the Georgian State Report (click to watch the video).
