Young people of different nationalities are learning at IBSU currently. Local students involved in entertainment, scientific and cultural programs organized one more event, a festival representing different cultures and countries entitled Enrich Your Life through Different Cultures. Armenians who are among university students from 10 different countries also presented Armenian culture at aforementioned festival.

On May 18-22, 2014 the United Nations Human Rights High Commissioner, Navi Pillay, visited Georgia. During her visit she met the President, Prime Minister, and Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Justice, Internal Affairs, among others. The aim of the High Commissioner’s visit was to discuss the human rights situation in Georgia. On May 21 Levon Isakhanyan, the Head of the Legal Department of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, informed the Commissioner about the discrimination in the field of restitution of property confiscated from religious minorities during the Soviet era. In response the Commissioner stressed that she was very unhappy about the selective approach towards religious minorities in Georgia and urged authorities to honor their international obligations. She further stressed the importance of implementing the anti-discriminatory provisions which exist in the Georgian Constitution.

The Calouste Gulbenkian Hall of the Hayartun Center at the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia hosted an evening in memory of the 125th anniversary of the birth of Ioseb Grishashvili, on May 24, 2014, under the auspices of the Hayartun Center and at the initiative of the Union of Armenian Musicians of Georgia, the Vernatun Union of Armenian Writers of Georgia. Armenian and Georgian artists and the readership attended the event.

The jubilee celebrations of Vardaton(Feast of Roses) in honor of Sayat-Nova were launched at Surb Etchmiadzin Church in Tbilisi, where the Sunday Divine Liturgy was conducted. Representatives of Armenian community and guests from different countries and regions, who had arrived to attend the Vardaton in honor of Sayat-Nova, by the end of the Divine Liturgy paid tribute to the eminent Armenians buried in the Tbilisi Pantheon Khojivank.

On May 21, the big hall of Akhalkalaki Museum of Regional Studies hosted an art exhibition entitled Learn about Javakheti and Its Churches, which was held under the auspices of the Vicariate ofthe Armenian Apostolic Churchin Samtskhe-Javakheti. Armenian churches located in different corners of Javakheti were exhibited. Young artists Arman Torosyan and Hrachya Safaryan displayed almost 30 canvases regarding the aforementioned topic.
