On May 11, under the dome of Surb Khach Church in Akhalkalaki 61 orphans from Javakheti were gathered. By the end of the Divine Liturgy they received financial aid from the employees of the Vicariate of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Samtskhe-Javakheti, provided by the Fund for Armenian Relief (FAR).

For several years, the Hayartun Center at the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia (DAACG) has been organizing concerts dedicated to the Great Patriotic War and liberation of Shushi as a way to show respect and pay tribute to fallen ancestors and courageous freedom fighters. This year was no exception. As early as May 8, 2014, on the Erkrapah’s Day (the “Defender’s Day,” in Armenian), the requiem services for the victims of a heroic battle in Artsakh were conducted in all operating churches in Georgia.

2014 թվականի մայիսի 9-ին, Վիրահայոց թեմի «Հայարտուն» կրթա-մշակութային կենտրոնը կազմակերպում է համերգ՝ նվիրված Հայրենական մեծ պատերազմի հաղթանակին և ք. Շուշիի ազատագրմանը: Հարկ է նշել, որ Հայրենական մեծ պատերազմում զոհվել են հազարավոր վրացիներ, հայեր, ադրբեջանցիներ և այլ ազգերի ներկայացուցիչներ: Մեր պարտքն է հարգել նախնիների հիշատակը:

Մայիսի 8-ին՝ Երկրապահի օրը, Վիրահայոց թեմի բոլոր եկեղեցիներում կատարվեցին հայ ազգային ազատագրական պայքարի բոլոր նվիրյալների, Արցախյան հերոսամարտի զոհերի հիշատակի հոգեհանգստյան արարողություններ:
