On June 13th 2014, at St. Echmiatsin Armenian church of Tbilisi, the head of the Armenian Diocese of Georgia – bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan, together with the other spiritual leaders conducted an evening mass, which was attended by the 2013-2014 academic year graduates of “St. Gregory of Narek” Saturday and “St. Yeghia the Prophet” Sunday schools. The graduating students’ parents and the church going community were addressed by the head of the Diocese.

On June 8th the youth department of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia (director ValeriBadalyan) organized an expedition to a nearby Tbilisi forest. Lead by the department’s employees over 40 active members of Tbilisi Armenian Church, the group took the direction of Tskhvarichamia open air champing side in mini-vans, where they enjoyed their Sunday in the beautiful countryside.

On June 12th, 2014, a press conference was held for Georgian media organizations at the “Hayartun” center of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia. The main goal of the press conference was to speak about Georgian orthodox priest Davit Lasurashvili’s discriminative behavior. The diocese’s director for legal affairs LevonIsakhanyan spoke about multiple incidents where Georgian spiritual servants conducted intolerant and discriminative behavior against members of the Armenian Apostolic Church.
