On the 28th of July Vahan Terian poetry day was celebrated in Gandza village of Ninotsminda region. Born in the lap of beautiful nature in Javakheti an apologist for love, freedom, equality and fraternity – poet Vahan Terian (Vahan Sukiasi Ter-Grigoryan) was connected with boundless love to his birthplace Gandza village, he was homesick and missed his motherland greatly. And again, already for the 46th time, admirers and lovers of Terian’s poetry had gathered in Gandza village to express their love and respect for the poetry and talent of the poet, who praised his motherland, fraternity and equality.

Donations Collected by Tbilisi Armenian Community to Help the Syrian Armenians Were Transferred to the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin PDF Print E-mail

Some Armenian non-governmental organizations of Tbilisi, responding to the call of His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians, to help our brothers and sisters - Armenians of Syria, who were put in a difficult state, organized a variety of events during which the amount to help the Armenians of Syria has been collected. RA Embassy to Georgia, the “Hayartun” Cultural Center of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia, Gary Davtyan Puppet and Culture House, online magazine “Armenian Art Hall”, non-governmental organization Community of Armenians in Georgia, the branch of the International Association "Pan-Armenian Games" in Georgia, the clergy of the Diocese, the businessmen, arts and culture figures and the members of Tbilisi Armenian community also participated in the charitable activities. 5000 U.S. dollars donated in total, with the blessing and through the mediation of the Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan, were transferred to the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.

On the 19th of July, at the “Hayartun” Center of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia the presentation of storybook “Call Me as Your Son” by philologist and meritorious journalist of Georgia Arsen Yeremyan took place. International Cultural and Educational Union "Russian Club" (Chairman – Nikolai Sventitski, Honored Art Worker of Russia) and the “Hayartun” Center of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia initiated the event. The Primate of the Diocese f the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan, Advisor to the President of Georgia Van Baiburtian, Academician Tengiz Uchaneishvili, Professor Gizo Urushadze, veteran of Public Television of Georgia Igor Nagornin, figures of foreign language literature, culture and arts and the readership attended the presentation.

Youth Leadership Training Program in the Armenian Community of Georgia, Organized by the “Hayartun” Center at the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia, Was Completed PDF Print E-mail

On the 19th of July Youth Leadership Training Program in the Armenian community of Georgia was completed. The youth department of the “Hayartun” Cultural Center at the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia (head of department Deacon Gevorg Antonyan) initiated the program, with financial assistance from the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, RA Ministry of Diaspora and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. 32 people from the capital and different Georgian regions participated in the program. With the blessing of the Head of Roman Catholic Church in the Caucasus Bishop Giuseppe Pazotto, the program was organized in a country estate of Catholic Church in Tserovani settlement.
