On the 21st of September, 2013 at Tbilisi Art Hall, the 22nd Anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Armenia and the 10th Anniversary of dance ensemble “Jeyran” of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia were solemnly celebrated. The anniversary event was organized by EducationalCultural Youth Center "Hayartun" of the Diocese ofthe Armenian ApostolicOrthodoxChurch in Georgia, with the support of RA Ministry of Culture and in cooperation with RA Embassy to Georgia. The AmbassadorExtraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Armenia to Georgia Hovhannes Manoukian, the Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan, Advisor to the President of Georgia,the editor of "Vrastan" ("Georgia") Van Baiburtian, diplomats, the clergy, the leaders of Armenianorganizations in Tbilisi andpublic representatives attended the anniversary event.

On September 17, 2013 exhibition and sale of works of Armenian and Georgian artist, organized in the Exhibition Hall of the Georgian Parliament National Library, launched the series of celebrations, dedicated to the 22nd Anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Armenia. The event was initiated by the Union of Armenian Artists of Georgia together with the Union of Artists of Georgia, the Union of Armenian Musicians of Georgia, the “Hayartun” Center of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia, in cooperation with RA Embassy to Georgia. 31 Armenian and Georgian artist of Georgia of different age presented almost forty works at the exhibition. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Armenia to Georgia Hovhannes Manoukian attended the solemn exhibition opening.

On September 16 the first bell rang in Georgia, announcing the start of the 2013-2014 academic year. The bell was also festive and euphonious for the Armenians of Tbilisi, and among them are families whose children study at Armenian school.
