On December 23, 2016, “Saint Movses Khorenatsi” Primary School celebrated New Year and Christmas in the Calouste Gulbenkian Hall at the Hayartun Center of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia. The hall was decorated for the holiday festivities, thanks to the efforts of primary school teachers and the support of parents. The kids gathered together in the hall waiting for the bell to proclaim the start of the New 2017 Year.

On December 22, 2016, Defense Minister of Armenia Vigen Sargsyan, who was in Georgia on an official visit, visited the Cathedral of Saint George in Tbilisi which is the seat of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia. The Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan along with the clergy received the Armenian Defense Minister.

On December 16, 2016, the Calouste Gulbenkian Hall of the “Hayartun” Center of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia hosted an event, dedicated to the 350th anniversary of the first printed Armenian Bible. At the beginning of the event, the choir of the Cathedral of Saint George in Tbilisi sang the Lord's Prayer, later, under the singing of the Hrashapar Hymn, the Encyclical of the Catholicos of All Armenians issued to mark the 350th anniversary of the printing of the Armenian Bible was brought in. Very Rev. Father Khoren Hovhannisyan, assistant to the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, read the Pontifical Encyclical.

Armenian cuisine is a significant part of the Armenian culture. The aim of the activities of the community structures is the revival of its forgotten pages.
On December 11, 2016, in the courtyard of the Saint Gevorg Cathedral in Tbilisi, following the Sunday Divine Liturgy, the faithful attended the festival of traditional Armenian dish - ghapama. The Association of Armenian Women in Georgia “Shushanik” initiated the festival, with the financial support of the Diocesan Headquarters and under the auspices of the Hayartun Center. The aim of the festival was to modernize and popularize among the Armenians of Tbilisi this national dish.
