On February 24, 2017, the Calouste Gulbenkian hall of the Hayartun Center at the Armenian Diocese in Georgia hosted the opening of the personal exhibition of the Honored Artist of the Georgian SSR, a member of Union of Artists of the USSR, Lev Bayakhchev. The exhibition was organized by the Union of Armenian Painters of Georgia and the Hayartun Center.

In December last year, the Armenian Diocese in Georgia had sent a letter to Tbilisi City Hall and the National Agency for Cultural Heritage Preservation of Georgia, regarding the construction process near the Holy Mother of God of Shamkhor Church, located in Avlabari, Tbilisi, stating that the construction process can weaken the foundation of the dilapidated church and destroy it. In January the letter was sent to the same addressees and the StateAgency for Religious Issues. Following is the response of theNational Agency for Cultural Heritage Preservation of Georgia to the letters of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia.

On February 22, 2017, a literary montage on the eve of the Feast of St. Vartan the Captain and his 1036 Companions was held in the Saint Gevorg Cathedral in Tbilisi. The event was organized through the efforts of the students from Tbilisi № 103 Georgian-Armenian Public School, at the initiative of Armenian language and literature specialist, Gayane Mkhitaryan.
