On March 25, 2016, Easter presents were distributed to socially vulnerable families and lonely elderly people in the Cathedral of Saint George and the St. Etchmiadzin Church in Tbilisi. For the fourth year in a row, the Association of Armenian Women of Georgia “Shushanik” (the Chairman, Susanna Khachatryan) is organizing a charitable campaign with the support of the Diocesan Headquarters and the clergy of two churches in Tbilisi.

On March 24, 2016, on Great and Holy Thursday, following morning services, a Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the functioning churches of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia. The celebrant priests delivered the homily in remembrance of our Lord Jesus Christ’s Last Supper and the establishment of the sacrament of Holy Communion.

On March 20, 2016, the Hayartun Center at the Armenian Diocese in Georgia hosted the opening of the exhibition entitled “Photo Chronicle of Contemporary Tbilisi Armenians”. The project was implemented by the Georgian “Agora-Georgia” NGO. The exhibition features 50 photos of famous photographer Yuri Akulyan, which tell about the life of Armenian community in Tbilisi over the past 15 years. The displayed photos tell about the life of Armenians in Georgia, their activities and how they became famous for their contribution. The head of the Apostolic Administration of the Caucasus, Bishop Giuseppe Pasotto, honored the event with his presence.

On March 19, 2016, the Calouste Gulbenkian Hall of the Hayartun Center at the Armenian Diocese in Georgia hosted a meeting with Levon (Lyova) Sarkisov, a legendary Georgian and Soviet mountaineer, who has climbed Mount Everest and has entered the Guinness Book of World Records. The main aim of the event was to arrange a meeting with the hero and mountaineer and to present some episodes from his life to the public in Tbilisi.
