On March 2, 2016, Samtskhe-Javakheti and Tsalka's General Prelacy of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia had properly prepared for the Median Day of the Great Lent (Mijink). Ten participants from Akhalkalaki and nearby villages traditionally presented typical regional Armenian pastry (gata).

On February 28, 2016, following the Sunday Divine Liturgy, in the churches of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia the Repose of Souls service was offered in memory of victims of Sumgait massacres.

On 25-27 February, 2016, UWC Dilijan College students group visited Tbilisi. Students from many countries were interested in visiting Tbilisi, a multinational and multi-confessional city of rich cultural history. In two days they explored Old Tbilisi, Abanotubani (sulphur bathhouses area), where side-by-side the temples of different denominations are located, visited the Georgian National Museum, the Museum of Ethnography, Mtskheta, Jvari Monastery, the Tbilisi Pantheon of the Armenian Writers and Public Figures “Khojivank”, lit candles in the Armenian St. Gevorg Cathedral Church.

On February 26, 2016, the annual report on the work undertaken by the Armenian Diocese in Georgia and on the activities of the Georgian regional committee on the organization of the events regarding the 100th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide for 2015 was presented.
