The celebration of the Armenian Army Day in Tbilisi, on the initiative of Armenia's military attaché to Georgia, colonel Samvel Ramazyan, started with a visit to the burials of Armenian generals at the courtyard of the Cathedral of Saint George of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia.

On January 22, 2016, the Ecumenical Prayer service for Christian unity was delivered at the Catholic Church in Tbilisi. Every year the faithful of four Christian denominations pray for unity. Among them are the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Holy Church in Georgia, the Roman Catholic Church in Georgia, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Georgia and the Evangelical Baptist Church in Georgia. Every year the Ecumenical Prayer service is conducted under the chairmanship of one of four Churches.

The Feast of St Sarkis the Captain, his son Mardiros and his 14 soldiers-companions, one of the most beloved saints of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Holy Church, was solemnly marked at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, on January 21, 2016. The event was organized by the tolerance and cultural diversity university club with active participation of the university students of Armenian descent and preparatory courses students, within frames of Promoting Integration, Tolerance and Awareness Program (PITA).

On January 22, 2016, Elene Akhvlediani Children's Gallery of Georgia hosted a presentation of “Shushanik, the Queen of Kartli” book-album. The event was attended by art critics, the teachers of schools for aesthetic upbringing, students, parents and guests.
