On August 16, 2015, during the official visit to Georgia, RA Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Sergo Karapetyan visited Tbilisi Saint Etchmiadzin Church and participated in the Divine Liturgy dedicated to the Feast of the Assumption of the Holy Mother of God. The Minister brought the sweetest types of grapes from the motherland.

This year a group of young Armenians from Tbilisi decided to spend two weeks of their summer vacation in the scout camp, located near the Lermontov village in the Lori region in Armenia. This is now the eighth year the camp has been organized within the framework of the AGBU youth projects.

On July 14, 2015, the second tour of young Armenians in Tbilisi was conducted in Sololaki – a district, where many famous and talented representatives of the Armenian intelligentsia, including writers, poets, scientists, doctors and artists lived and worked during the 19-20 centuries. The participants of the tour visited the Mantashev’s Trading House (now №43 Public School) with its beautiful marble staircase, famous merchant Kalantarov’s building with its overhanging balcony and the house of benefactor Mikael Aramyants.

On July 16, 2015, Georgia’s Muslim Community initiated a seminar on “The Sacrament of Fasting in Different Religions” in the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University’s auditorium. The President of the Agency of Religious Affairs of Georgia, Mr. Zaza Vashakmadze was among the special guests. The participants of the seminar were the representatives of Georgia’s different religious communities. The Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Holy Church was represented by Rev. Fr. Ter Narek Ghushchyan from the Saint Gevorg Vicarial Church and Mikael Avagyan, the Director of the Legal Affairs and Cooperation Department of the Diocese.
