Cross-Stone in Memory of the Canonized Victims of the Genocide Consecrated in Karmir Village PDF Print E-mail

The Karmir village has a hundred year-old history according to its elderly inhabitants. Approximately two hundred Armenian families live there, most of them displaced from Western Armenia. Armenians settled down in this safe place and preserved their language, faith and national values. During the Soviet period they didn't have churches to pray in and until recently didn't have any. The Holy Gospel Chapel was built and consecrated in 2012 with the support of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia and private benefactors.

On June 25, 2015, the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Holy Church celebrated the Feast of the Holy Translators. On this occasion the Divine Liturgy was conducted in the Saint Etchmiadzin Church, Tbilisi, under the leadership of the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan. The event was attended by the clergy, professional translators, intelligentsia representatives and Armenian believers.

Performance of the Art Prophets in the Saint Etchmiadzin Church PDF Print E-mail

On June 17, 2015, the Armenian religious music concert was held in the Saint Etchmiadzin Church, Tbilisi, right after the Evening Service. The concert was a new interpretation of Armenian religious music from the 5th to the 20th centuries, dedicated to the centennial of the Armenian Genocide, initiated and presented by Tigran Hamasyan and the Yerevan State Chamber Choir headed by Harutyun Topikyan. It was part of the tour, which consists of concerts in 100 churches and cathedrals all over the world, including the Saint Etchmiadzin Church in Tbilisi, Georgia.
