The new academic year of 2015/16 started in the “Surb Grigor Narekatsi” (“Saint Gregory of Narek”) Saturday School and in the “Surb Yeghia Margare” (“Saint Prophet Ilya”) Sunday school.
On September 12, the Director of the Educational Department of the Diocese, Eugenia Markosyan and the teacher Tamara Gaboyan warmly welcomed and congratulated about 60 Armenian students of different ages at the “Surb Grigor Narekatsi” Saturday School.

On September 12, 2015, the traditional Armenian BBQ Festival was conducted in Akhtala, Alaverdi district for the 7th time. The festival was visited not only by people who wanted to taste this dish but also by amateur and professional cooks, who came to show their skills in cooking and design, present traditional recipes and demonstrate modern approaches. The guests and the participants enjoyed the BBQ and the tasty aromas were in the air. The representatives of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, under the leadership of the “Hayartun” Center Director, Levon Chidilyan attended the festival. A small concert was conducted with song and dance performances, advertisement and surprises while the cooks were preparing their selections for the contest.

On September 9, 2015, the presentation of the book “Memories from the Past” by greatly lamented, Levon Dilbaryan, took place in the Calouste Gulbenkian Hall of the “Hayartun” Center of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia. The event was conducted on the initiative of the “Armenian Center for Scientific Research in Georgia” NGO and the “Hayartun” Center and was dedicated to the 100th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. The daughter, grandchildren and other relatives of the author were in attendance of the event.
