In 1981 the UN General Assembly launched an initiative to involve youth representatives from member countries in the official delegations.
This project is successfully conducted in more than 30 countries, including Georgia. The country joined this initiative in 2012. The delegate selected through the competition is going to represent Georgian youth at the Headquarters of the United Nations in New-York City, USA.

Youth Department activists today organized flood relief assistance for the people affected by the disaster. On June 16, they appeared at the Chughureti local administration building, together with the Coordinator of the Youth Department Activities, Nina Seropova and brought additional humanitarian aid on behalf of the Diocese and the Hayartun Center.

The Shamshulda (Samshvilde) Village in the Tetritskaro region is located 60 kilometers from Tbilisi. Due to the absence of local representation, Rev. Fr. Ter Narek Ghushchyan from the Saint Gevorg Vicarial Church, Tbilisi, conducts religiousceremonies on-site, with instructions from the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan.

On June 10, 2015, the students of 2014/2015 academic year from the “Saint Gregory of Narek” Saturday school and the “Saint Yeghia” Sunday school attended the evening service delivered by the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan, Rev. Fr. Ter Husik Harutyunyan and Rev. Fr. Ter Narek Ghushchyan in the Saint Etchmiadzin Church, Tbilisi. The national project coordinator at the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, Karine Manukyan, the Director of the “Hayartun” Center, Levon Chidilyan, parents, teachers and many others were present. The Director of the Educational Department of the Diocese, Eugenia Markosyan congratulated the students, who successfully finished the classes of literacy and history.
