On December 16 the delegation of the Yerevan Municipality while on a working visit to Tbilisi visited the Tbilisi Pantheon of the Armenian Writers and Public Figures “Khojivank” and laid flowers on the graves of prominent public representatives. At the Pantheon of the Public Figures the Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan and the clergy conducted a requiem service. The Mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Armenia to Georgia Hovhannes Manoukian, Embassy diplomats and members of the public attended the religious ceremony.

The walls of Calouste Gulbenkian Hall of the “Hayartun” Center at the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia are decorated with line art drawings and oil paintings. Here an interesting and complicated exhibition entitled “Portrait-XXI” has been organized. The Union of Armenian Artists of Georgia (Chairman Meruzhan Shahumyan), under the auspices of the “Hayartun” Center at the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia and in cooperation with several unions of Georgian artists, has implemented it. Almost 80 pieces of art of more than twenty Armenian and Georgian artists are presented. The students of famous painter and teacher - Robert Nersesov’s Art School also participate in the exhibition.

On December 15 the delegation of the Yerevan Municipality headed by Mayor Taron Margaryan arrived on a two-day official visit in Tbilisi. On the first day of the visit the top persons of two capital cities, Tbilisi and Yerevan, and accompanying people visited Surb Etchmiadizn Church in Tbilisi. Gigi Ugulava and Taron Margaryan, the members of Armenian delegation - Secretary of the Yerevan Municipality’s Staff Sergei Makarian, high officials Armen Yeremyan, Sergey Mkrtchyan, Natalia Lapauri, Head of Press Service Harutyun Hakobyan and others attended Sunday Divine Liturgy at the Armenian church, which was celebrated under the leadership of the Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan. Priest Husik Harutyunyan conducted the divine service.
