Under the auspices of the “Hayartun” Cultural Center at the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia, and with financial support from RA Ministry of Diaspora and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, the books by the members of theVernatunUnionof Armenian Writersof Georgia - “Sunset” poetry collection by Ninotsminda resident Hovhannes Marikyan and collection of prose works “Doctor Sanjay” by residing in Tbilisi journalist Sergey Arakelyan were published.

On December 7, 2013 at 11:41 AM in Armenian churches around the world the bells rang, reminding the world and the people of the world-shaking, devastating earthquake that hit Armenia in 1988. 25 years have passed and every year on this fatal day people lit candles and pray to God in memory of the victims.

On December 1, 2013 at the “Hayartun” Center of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia another event of the Union of Armenian Musicians of Georgia (Chairman Artem(Grigorents) Kirakozov) was held. Wind instruments, the trumpet in particular, were the topic of the concert-lecture. Connoisseurs and admirers of this interesting and beautiful instrument came to learn more about it and to listen to the performance.

On November 27, Calouste Gulbenkian Hall of the “Hayartun” Center at the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia hosted the premiere of the auteur movies “Yerevan”, “The Woman”, “Boycott” and “The Useless”. Screenwriter and director of the movies Arshak Zakaryan, cinematographer David Harutyunyan, and leading man Giorgi Hovakimyan attended the premiere. Armenian intellectuals of Tbilisi, leaders of public organizations, guests from Yerevan and members of the public were gathered in the hall.
