On June 22, 2017, the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan, accompanied by Levon Chidilyan, Head of the Hayartun Center and Director of the Cultural Department of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia; Director of the Educational Department of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia and the "St. Movses Khorenatsi" Preschool Principal, Eugenia Markosyan; Director of the Administrative Department of the Diocese, Karen Yeritsyan; made a three-day visit to Adjaria to hold meetings with the faithful and state officials of the Armenian community of Batumi.

On June 19, 2017, the children from Javakheti started their summer vacation in Armenia. For the 4th time the children from regions, through joint efforts of the Samtskhe-Javakheti and Tsalka's General Prelacy of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia and the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Development of the Republic of Armenia, spent their summer holidays in “Aragats” camp located in the picturesque region of Hankavan. 100 schoolchildren from the Akhalkalaki, Akhaltsikhe, Ninotsminda, Tsalka regions and the Damala village, accompanied by Rev.Father Tatev Marukyan, the Pastor of Akhalkalaki and nearby villages, arrived in “Aragats” camp, where their peers from Yerevan and Gyumri had been waiting for them.
