On June 18, 2017, in the Saint Etchmiadzin Church in Tbilisi, under the presidency of His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan, the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, with the participation of Rev. Father Virap Ghazaryan and the clergy, following the Divine Liturgy on Sunday, certificates were granted to the students of 2016/2017 academic year from the “Saint Gregory of Narek” Saturday school and the “Saint Yeghia” Sunday school. Among those attending were First Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Georgia, Artur Sargsyan; Counselor Artak Grabski, the one-day Armenian school students, their parents and the faithful. Eugenia Markosyan, Director of the Educational Department of the Diocese, congratulated the attendees on the Feast of the Cathedral of Holy Etchmiadzin, and presented 38 graduates of the one-day Armenian school, who successfully had completed two-year course in Armenian language and history, as well as colloquial Armenian course. The Director of the Educational department of the Diocese, with the blessings of the Diocesan Primate, handed out certificates to the students.

On June 17, 2017, the Judo Academy named after Sh. Chochishvili, Tbilisi, hosted the Georgian International Dance Festival and Roman Archaia Challenge Cup. The festival marked the 20th anniversary of the competition. Georgian National Council of Dance and Sport Dance and Tbilisi Centre of Cultural Events organized the event. Many dance groups representing different nationalities participated in the festival.

On June 16, 2017, the courtyard of the Saint George Cathedral in Tbilisi was turned into an open-air concert hall, where “Sayat-Nova” festival kicked off. The festival is being held for the 2nd time by the initiative of ‘Music of Armenia’. The aim of the festival is to present the Armenian musical art, rich heritage of Sayat-Nova and the ashik culture to the public and maintain it. The festival is also a means to reassess the Armenian rich musical heritage.
