On June 1, 2017 the International Day for Protection of Children was celebrated in many countries of the world. June 1 was made a real festivity for Armenian children residing in the capital city and other regions of Georgia. With the blessings and with the support of the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, several events were organized for children in the Diocesan churches, setting the festive mood. The day was full of surprises.

Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia Celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Mother Cathedral of Holy Etchmiadzin PDF Print E-mail

On May 25, the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church celebrated the Feast of the Ascension of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This day also commemorates the return of the Catholicosate of All Armenians from Sis to the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin in 1441. Under the presidency of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; the feast is also designated as the Pilgrimage Day of Holy Etchmiadzin. On this occasion primates of the Armenian Dioceses and numerous pilgrims travelled to the Mother See. Under the presidency of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; Divine Liturgy was offered in the Mother Cathedral. The Celebrant was His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan, Primate of the Armenian Diocese of Georgia. Bishop Vazgen offered his sermon on the sanctity of the day.

Celebration of the First Republic of Armenia Took Place at the Alexander Mantashev Center PDF Print E-mail

May 28, 2017, was a day of celebration for the entire Armenian people. On this day the Armenian people celebrated the Second Palm Sunday, the commemoration of the triumphant entry of the Ascended Christ into the Heavenly Jerusalem, where the angels meet him with great happiness and delight, and the 99th anniversary of the First Republic of Armenia. Batumi started the celebration with the Divine Liturgy in the Surb Prkich (Saint Savior) Church, which was conducted on Sunday by the Pastor of the local Armenians, Rev. Father Ararat Gumbalyan. At the conclusion of the Liturgy, with the participation of the clergy, a Special Prayer Service was offered.
