On October 26, 2016, art and music lovers of different nationalities were gathered together at Merab Berdzenishvili International Cultural Center “Muse” in Tbilisi. With the support of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Holy Church in Georgia, the RA Embassy in Georgia, the Hayartun Center at the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, Gyumri State Symphony Orchestra, directed by conductor Yervand Varosyan, had arrived in Tbilisi to hold a concert. The concert of the symphony orchestra with distinguished history was dedicated to the 25th anniversary celebrations of Armenian independence.

On October 23, 2016, on the Feast of the Discovery of the Holy Cross, celebrated by the Armenian Apostolic Church, the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan, presided over the service of re-consecration of the Surb Sion(Saint Zion) Church of the village of Vachiani in Akhalkalaki region. The church in the village of Vachiani is the 56th functioning church of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia.

On October 22, 2016, the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan, presided over the service of re-consecration of the Surb Khach (Holy Cross) Church of the village of Sulda in Akhalkalaki region. The church in the village of Sulda is the 55th functioning church of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia.

At the invitation of the Mayor of the Georgian capital, on the occasion of Tbilisoba (Tbilisi City Fest), celebrated on October 15-16, 2016, delegation of Yerevan City Hall, led by Yerevan Deputy Mayor, David Ohanyan, took an official visit to Tbilisi.
