The Little Singers Vocal Ensemble, created by Initiatives for Development of Armenia (IDeA) Foundation within the Dilijan Development Project, is operating under the auspices of the community-based center and has only been in existence for two years. However, during this period of time the vocal ensemble has performed at various cultural events in Dilijan, its repertoire was regularly enriched and perfected. It was decided to give a performance in Tbilisi in order to expand the frames of the Vocal Ensemble’s concerts.

On May 22, 2016, the Alexander Mantashev Educational Cultural Youth Center had been given a festive look. An event commemorating Hovhannes Tumanyan was organized through a joint effort of the local creative groups. The Aghbyur Youth Vocal Ensemble headed by Ruzanna Hovhannisyan and the Heghnar Dance Group, choreographer Merine Poghosyan, were involved in the event organized by Satenik Danielyan, a teacher at a drama circle and recitation classes.

“An Hour of Poetry” in “Surb Grigor Narekatsi” One-day Armenian School at the Armenian Diocese in Georgia PDF Print E-mail

On May 20, 2016, the Calouste Gulbenkian Hall of the “Hayartun” Center at the Armenian Diocese in Georgia hosted its next event. Titled “An Hour of Poetry”, the event was initiated by “Surb Grigor Narekatsi” (“St. Gregory the Narekatsi”) one-day Armenian school of the Diocesan Educational Department headed by the teacher Tamara Gaboyan. The students of the first and second grades took the stage, while Tbilisi Armenian intellectuals and poetry enthusiasts took their seats in the hall.

Many famous Armenian public figures and scientists, who contributed to Tbilisi’s cultural development, were buried in the cemetery.
